The first Museums.EU newsletter is out

Museums.EU – the European Museums Network is live!

Almost a thousand users joined us in the private beta period and gave us valuable feedback, support and encouragement, so the entire team of Museums.EU would like to say “thank you!” to everyone that took part and to all museums that are already active members.

New members and new features

Your valuable feedback already helped us improve the website and the online CMS a lot. Have you noticed the new display of collections or the more streamlined map of museums on the first page? Do you have a suggestion? Please let us know.

Is our online CMS easy to use?

Museums.EU offers a FREE online CMS, which enables you to add visitor information, exhibitions, events, educational activities, articles, and even collections.

You have already received a username and password for our CMS. Have you tried it out? Even in the summer months, organizations all over Europe have entered a lot of content and gave us excellent feedback.

Do you need help with the CMS? Let us know!

A few practical tips for our CMS users

Have you noticed activities? What’s the difference between activities and events? Activities are educational events targeted for specific groups (mostly school groups, but also for adults or families). When adding an activity, you can select a target group and add maximum number of participants, duration and price per person.

Anyone in your organisation can use the CMS. You can add a new user by yourself. To add a new user: click “Users” in the menu on the left; under Users click the “Add new” button in the upper right corner; fill in at least the required information (*) and click the “Save” button. That’s it.

Your information will reach the most people if available in English, with translation in your native language. You can find the “Language” selector in the upper right corner.

Why not try it out? Our support team will be happy to help you in case you have any questions or need help.
